I love how Derek is all the time holding Mer’s hand. And it’s not about the wedding. I don’t give a fuck about this paper. Their wedding is the post-it and they need to remember those vows. For me, this handhold means “look where we are. How strong we are. We are together and we are doing this for this little girl.”. For them, this wedding is not a big deal either. I love how light and relaxed they are. Love how Patrick is smiling all the time. Well, actually, this was the only episode in the whole season when I saw Patrick smiling. And even the handhold behind the scenes is beautiful and it’s like Ellen & Patrick are telling to MerDer fans: “Look at us. We made it!”.
